This is something I hear a lot when coaching my clients. We all go through times when things feel tough, we feel lost, and we feel like we have lost our sense of self, our spring in our step, our sparkle, or our mojo or a sparkle, whatever it means to you or whatever you like to call it.
Take a moment to think about what this phrase means to you, pick one which you identify with, then consider how you currently feel about it, if you like give it a number out of 10, 1 being low and 10 being the best it can be. When you have your number, take a few minutes to think about what this really means to you and how it impacts on your life.
Now take a moment to dream big, go crazy, there are no limits, what would life be like at a 10? What would become available to you? What could you achieve when you have turned up your number to a 10? Exciting hey? Things become possible, which have felt so unattainable before.
Usually at this point, the people I work with realise they really can be who they want to be, they can leave behind those doubts, the sense of I am not good enough, or not confident enough. They grow in confidence, self-esteem and in the way they hold themselves and they blossom, you can see their mojo or sparkle as they enter a room, this is what makes my heart sing!
I see my clients transform when we work together, when I asked one how we were doing with finding their mojo again and whether they had achieved their goal of getting their mojo back, they laughed and said, ‘Got it back? I have more than ever, double what I’ve ever had before!’. That was music to my ears and the reason I do what I do.
Seeing people realise they can reclaim their mojo and their sparkle, that little thing which makes them individual and unique, their special gift to the world is the reason I spring out of bed in the morning, the thing that keeps me going and helps me hold on to my mojo, my sparkle and allows me to shine. What can you commit to, to work towards finding your mojo or sparkle again?
Until next time, keep smiling!
