I don’t know about you, but sometimes I bumble through life thinking that I am in my own little bubble and no one really notices?  Maybe this is because I don’t have close family, so I don’t get the regular recognition or encouragement I hear other people get from their loved ones, this is something I have always had to provide for myself.  So I merrily go about my daily life without thinking about who is watching.

As you know, because you are reading this, I blog regularly, I put content out there sharing my own personal experiences, common challenges which come up in my coaching and some hopefully positive and inspirational stuff, I truly believe we can all use our experiences to inspire others.  I also do the odd podcast, live video and public speaking too, which I really enjoy.

However, as I said above, I don’t always know if what I am doing reaches people, I do this to raise awareness of struggles and challenges, along with successes and achievements, which we all go through in life.  I do this because I want people to know that having a whole range of experiences and emotions is perfectly OK, it is normal, whatever we may be feeling or going through we are not alone, someone else has or does feel like this.

But as I said, is it working, does it make a difference to people?

I am absolutely touched and blown away to say that in the last couple of weeks, two friends who I don’t get to speak to much (one I see and wave to at the home of football, Carrow Road on a Saturday every other week, but struggle to have a proper chat with. The other a friend I haven’t seen in 6 years, we used to work together but live at different ends of the country) took time out of their busy lives to message or phone me to say that the see all of the good work I am doing, they love the positivity and that I am out their doing this and that I am honest and real.  The friend I used to work with said, ‘I remember us talking on our lunch breaks about you wanting to do this and now you are doing it!’.

They wanted to say keep doing what you are doing, what you are doing reaches me, it touches me and possibly many other people and it means so much to us that we wanted you to know.  I have a tear in my eye while I write this, to know that the things I am doing, my little blog posts, live videos or podcasts make a difference to people near and far, without me even knowing.

It then got me thinking you never know who is watching!  Who else benefits?  In the days of social media, you never know who the work you are doing is reaching.  It could be someone having a bad day and connects with my content, I may never meet this person but it could just change their day or their life.  It may be a future colleague or a current or future client, who identifies with the work I am doing and wants to know more.  It could be a friend who knows you and is proud of you and just wants you to know that what you do is making a difference.

I absolutely love what I do and I love that it is making a difference to people other than my clients, who I am lucky enough to get great feedback from all of the time, which absolutely makes my heart sing!  If you would like to know more, do please get in touch for an informal, no obligation chat, or maybe even book yourself an introductory session, 30 minutes of your time could just change your life!

Until next time,

Emma
